FOND — Cast Iron Dutch Oven

Brief

Only one hand appears — never a face, never a whole person. The hand wears a thick oven mitt. The pot never turns or tilts on its own; only the lid is moved, by the mitt. The raised FOND lettering stays exactly as in the photo. The light and the colour stay the same throughout. Cut 1. A deep olive cast-iron dutch oven on a black glass induction hob in a warm kitchen. Thin steam escapes from under the lid. A hand in a thick grey oven mitt enters, closes around the lid knob and lifts the lid straight up. A thick cloud of steam rises through the warm light. A calm voice says: "FOND. Heat that holds."
