Brief

Three cuts, 5 seconds each. The camel leather tote is the subject of every cut and the largest object in frame. Everything else is context. The tote has two short top handles and no shoulder strap. It is carried in the hand or set down on a surface — never on a shoulder, never over an arm, never around a neck. Only hands and forearms appear — never a face, never a whole person, never anyone in the background. One place only: a quiet cafe table by a window, the same table in every cut. Three hard cuts, no dissolves and no fades between them. The camera moves slowly and never changes direction inside a cut. One window light is the only strong light: warm from the left, deep shadows, thin haze. Cool grey room, and the camel leather is the only warm colour in it. One continuous piece of music across the whole ad. Cut 1. A hand sets the camel tote down on a pale wooden cafe table by a window, the bag settling upright and holding its shape. The hand lets go and leaves the frame. Warm morning light rakes across the leather. A calm voice says: "It goes where the day goes." Cut 2. Closer on the tote alone on the table, nothing else in frame but the wood and the window light. A slow band of light moves across the grain of the leather and the polished ring on the handle. A calm voice says: "It never asks for attention." Cut 3. A hand takes both handles and lifts the camel tote off the table, the bag rising and swinging gently as it leaves the frame, the empty table left in warm light. A calm voice says: "Still standing at the end of it." Then: "FERN. Carry the day."
